Dondakaya(coccinia grandis)curry:
Ingredients:
large onion-1
dondakaya-1/4kg
green chilli-2
curry leafs-1
red chilli powder-1tsp
chana dal-1/2cup
urad dal-1tsp
mustard seeds-1tsp
cumin seeds-1tsp
salt-to taste
turmeric powder-1/2tsp
oil-3tsp
corianderleaves
Preparation:
- Wash and chop chilli,onion,cut the ends, again wash and chop coccinia grandis.
- Heat the pan take 3tea spoons of oil,add popu dinusulu(chana dal,mustard seeds,urad dal,cumin seeds),turmeric powder.
- Wait for popu dinusulu become brownish, add curry leafs,chilli,onion and coccinia grandis.
- After 3minutes add salt,every once of a 3minute mix well and close led.
- After 20 minutes add red chilli powder and fry 10 minutes without led.
- finally garnish with coriander leaves and serve with rice.
