Beerakaya(ridge gourd) curry:




Ingredients:

onion-1
beerakaya-2
green chilli-2
curry leafs-1
red chilli powder-1tsp
chana dal-1/2cup
urad dal-1tsp
mustard seeds-1tsp
cumin seeds-1tsp
salt-to taste
turmeric powder-1/2tsp
oil-2tsp
coriander leaves

preparation:

  • All vegetables wash and chop chilli,onion,peel and chop the ridge gourd.
  • Heat the pan take 2tea spoons of oil,add popu dinusulu(chana dal,mustard seeds,urad dal,cumin seeds),turmeric powder.
  • Wait for popu dinusulu become brownish,add curry leafs,chilli and onion, cook stil onion is transperent.
  • Then add chopped ridge gourd,mix well and wait 1minute add salt.
  • After 3minutes add red chilli powder,cook untill veg is cooked nicely.
  • Finally add coriander leaves and off the flame and serve with rice or chapathi.
